Open Position: Deputy Executive Director

Location: Cottonwood, AZ/Hybrid
Friends of the Verde River is seeking a highly motivated Deputy Executive Director (DED) to oversee and direct all habitat restoration and water conservation programs, projects, and partnerships within the organization. Key responsibilities include planning, managing, and fiscal accountability for programs that support the organization’s 2025 – 2027 Strategic Plan.

Position Title: River Friendly Living Program Assistant
Status: AmeriCorps Position
Slot Type: 675 total hours, 34 hours/week for 20 weeks
Reports To: Director of Stewardship
Location: Areas include Sedona, Camp Verde, Cornville, Clarkdale, Jerome (Verde Valley). They will be working throughout the Verde Valley primarily. Friends of the Verde River (Friends) is a hybrid workplace with most office work occurring from home.

Reports To: Director of Stewardship
Location: Areas include Sedona, Camp Verde, Cornville, Clarkdale, Jerome (Verde Valley). They will be working throughout the Verde Valley primarily. Friends of the Verde River (Friends) is a hybrid workplace with most office work occurring from home.
Primary Function/Purpose: This position will assist with the 2025 Verde River Watershed Report Card update by assisting data collection, and development of new scores.
