Elaine Nichols, Restoration Project Manager, works with landowners, crews, and volunteers to accomplish annual riparian restoration and monitoring goals and manage community science opportunities. Previous to working with Friends she worked for the Coconino National Forest in Fossil Creek. She also served two AmeriCorps terms, leading projects in trail construction, invasive species removal, and fire mitigation. Elaine earned her Masters in Environmental Management from Western Colorado University with a focus on integrated public land management and her B.S. in Environmental Science from University at Buffalo.
