Do you have an idea for an initiative or project that will benefit the Verde River or our other waterways? Our River Friendly Grants program, funded by our participating businesses, is open to new grant applications starting August 1. Grants can provide up to $5000 of funding for your River Friendly project!
The River Friendly Living grant program is made possible by businesses that support a healthy Verde River. The grants offer funding for conservation, restoration, and education projects that help preserve, restore, or enhance the Verde River and its tributaries.
This year, project proposals will be accepted from public land managers, local municipalities, community organizations, and non-profit organizations. Next year (FY23), individual home owners, and businesses will be able to apply as well. Once proposals are received, our advisory council of participating businesses review the projects based on impact and available funding. All funded projects are to be completed within a 12-month period. River Friendly Living projects address one or more of the following areas of focus: Sustainable Water Supply, Clean Water, Healthy Habitat, and/or Connected Communities.
