Fundraising and Communications Coordinator
Katherine is the Communications and Fundraising Coordinator for Friends of the Verde River, where she works to support the health and sustainability of the river. Her primary job functions are social media management and email communications. She is a data marketer, SEO and marketing automation specialist with over twenty years of experience working with schools, nonprofits, and start-up companies. Her passion is helping her community through education.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring nature with her Miniature Pinscher, Archie, who is part of the National Park Service’s B.A.R.K. Ranger program. As part of the Healthy People Healthy Parks Initiative, they follow the B.A.R.K. principles: Bag your pet’s waste, Always leash your pet, Respect the park and wildlife, and Know where you can go. You can find an interactive map of participating national parks on the B.A.R.K. Ranger Facebook group, where some parks even offer collectible tags and patches to showcase your adventures!
