Friends of the Verde River is thrilled to announce its 3rd annual “Run the Verde Raffle.” This exciting online raffle will run from July 31 to September 30, 2023, with all proceeds directed towards supporting a healthy and flowing Verde River ecosystem.
Prizes
The Run the Verde Raffle features an array of enticing prizes generously donated by sponsors who share the vision for a sustainable river system. Participants will have the chance to win fabulous items, including a Tomcat Solo Inflatable Kayak (green) valued at $919, a high-end Evoprene PFD Life Jacket and Vest, an Ozark Trail Sunset Premium Kayak Paddle with Fiberglass Blades, and many more fantastic prizes, totaling a retail value of over $1,300!

The funds raised from the raffle will be dedicated to the critical mission of keeping the Verde River healthy and flowing. The Verde River, as one of the last free-flowing rivers in Arizona, holds immense ecological significance and is vital for the economic health of Arizona. Everyone is needed to keep the river clean and flowing, improve habitat for wildlife, and strengthen the connection between communities and the precious Verde River.
How to Enter
You can buy tickets on-line and in-person on the last day of the raffle, September 30, 2023, during the much-anticipated Verde River Day celebration. The organization will be selling raffle tickets at Dead Horse Ranch State Park on the 30th. Verde River Day attendees can also take part in various exciting activities, including organized canoe and kayak rides, sandcastle building, a climbing wall, and more. This event, hosted by Dead Horse Ranch State Park, in collaboration with the Greater Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce, and various sponsoring non-profits and corporations from across the state. It celebrates the deep-rooted connection between the community and the Verde River, an invaluable lifeline in Arizona’s arid natural landscape.
