About D.A. Ranch

D.A. Ranch is a historic Verde Valley property with roots reaching back to 1876, when pioneer Gertrude Gates established the original homestead and working Jersey cattle ranch known as the “Delta Alpha Ranch.” More than a century later, the Petznick family—long connected to Arizona’s cattle and agricultural community—revitalized the property, restoring it as a vibrant ranch and vineyard that honors its past while embracing thoughtful land stewardship. Today, D.A. Ranch is known for its scenic landscape, sustainable practices, and welcoming spirit, offering visitors a chance to enjoy estate wines, community events, and the rich heritage of the Verde Valley. Alexis, or Lexie, Petznick is the CEO of D.A. Ranch.
“Our wines embody a taste of the land, the history and the heart of Arizona winemaking,” says Lexie Petznick, CEO of D.A. Ranch. – Best of the Southwest Article
The Heron Awards
Each Heron Award is a beautiful, glass-blown work of art crafted by local artists at The Melting Point. These one-of-a-kind pieces symbolize our deep appreciation for those who help Friends of the Verde River protect and restore one of the Southwest’s last free-flowing rivers. They embody creativity, dedication, and the river’s enduring resilience.

We also take great pride in recognizing our partners and supporters during our annual gala, Fiesta de la Garza, where the community comes together to celebrate the people who make our work possible.
