Friends of the Verde River is pleased to announce the 2024 Young Birders Camp Scholarship competition. The Young Birders Camp brings young people together to learn about birds, nature, ecology, and conservation in the company of kids like you. The camp activities include field trips observing birds and other animals, presentations by experts, and fun time in the beautiful outdoors.
Friends of the Verde River will award one scholarship to one young person and their adult sponsor (parent or guardian) to attend the 2024 Young Birders Camp. The camp is in the beautiful and bird-rich Cave Creek Canyon of the Chiricahua Mountains, June 20 – 23, 2024.
Applications for the scholarship are due no later than April 9th to VVBNF@Verderiver.org. You must be between the ages of 8 – 18 (as of June 1st) to be eligible. The scholarship pays the fees for one youth, one adult parent/guardian, and a $100 travel stipend.
