Get Involved
Join us for an unforgettable evening of connection and celebration as we present Verde River Stories, a captivating event that’s part of our humanities program. This live event is a pivotal segment of the “Listening to the Verde” series, a creative collaboration between Friends of the Verde River and Yavapai Broadcasting.
Verde River Stories is our platform to spotlight community voices through various forms of expression such as acting, singing, dancing, and storytelling. These performances offer insights into our unique connections with the Verde River and its surrounding watershed. From educational narratives to heartwarming anecdotes, each presentation adds a distinct hue to our collective experience.
Why Attend
This event is an open invitation to everyone who has felt the embrace of the Verde River’s beauty and significance. Whether you have a deep-rooted connection or a newfound appreciation, Verde River Stories welcomes you to share your tale or simply join us to listen to others share their stories.
If you do decide to share in person, you don’t need to be a professional performer; even a simple reading of your story, a short dance, or a heartfelt song can resonate with the audience and contribute to the tapestry of narratives. We will be holding this celebration in person at the Yavapai College Verde Valley Campus in Clarkdale and also on Facebook live.
