The Verde BioBlitz is back for its fifth year! Join us in exploring the incredible biodiversity of the Verde River Watershed while contributing to real scientific research. Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or just love being outdoors, this is your chance to help document the plants, animals, birds, and insects that call this area home.
How to Participate

- Get outside – Visit any location within the Verde River watershed, including the river, Oak Creek, West Clear Creek, and other natural areas.
- Take photos – Use the iNaturalist app to capture images of species you find.
- Join the Verde BioBlitz on iNaturalist
- Log your observations – Upload your findings to iNaturalist and contribute valuable data to help track biodiversity.

Want to learn more? Join a guided BioBlitz event led by expert volunteers from April 24-27. These walks will introduce you to iNaturalist and help you make meaningful observations.
